EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Energy Medicine Comes of Age

More and more people are looking to energy medicine to clear blocks, release energy and become completely available in the present. EFT “Emotional Freedom Technique” has been used for years by therapists, counselors and coaches. Developed by Gary Craig and now you can find variations of EFT, short cuts and numerous practitioners from Carol Look and Brad Yeats and beyond. The beautiful thing I love about EFT is you can learn the basics within minutes and start applying it to your life. EFT was first developed to address emotional issues and was found to improve physical issues in the body as well.

The best way to describe EFT is tapping on a series of meridian points on the body which clears stuck energy while thinking about any issue at all. You use your fingers to do the tapping and you do a series focusing on your head and upper body and hands. It can look a little funny but it does work. Even some medical practitioners are embracing EFT.

You think about an issue which is bothering you and you state the issue (rate it between a 1-10) an example would be ” Even though I’m worried about money, I completely love and except myself. Even though I’m not feeling well, I completely love and accept myself.  You then state the issue while tapping on the series of points. You do this until you get the issue cleared. Realize you may need to do this several times with a particular issue given there may be several subconscious programs running around the same issue. In other words you may have to hit the issue from several different angles.

There are reams of information on Emotional Freedom Technique on the web including some excellent video tutorials on youtube. You need to explore several practitioners and their work discovering who you’d like to work with. Many offer books, podcasting and videos of EFT which allow you to get started right away. If you feel you need to personally work with a practitioner, it can be done right over the phone. I have worked with Brad Yeats and can highly recommend him. He is amazing. Brad is funny and is very intuitive in his approach to EFT.   His website is http://www.bradyates.net

When you are looking to address health issues or simply attain and maintain optimal health using energy medicine tools gives you ability to clear stuck energy freeing you up to live your best life. Take responsibility for your health and empower yourself with EFT and other energy medicine methods.  Also, when you learn to do it for yourself it is free and a great way to show yourself love. Clear your way to a happier and healthier life.

I could use some of that! I have tried it in a very minimal way, maybe I will do a little more research. I have a friend that says it gets her through the day.

  6. I was introduced to EFT about 3 years ago. WOW! It’s amazing what a little tapping can do and so easy to learn. We do not give our mind and body enough credit. I picked EFT over my doctor’s recommended list of Antidepressants.

My personal experience: I was hit by a schoolbus that ran a red light in 2005. I was introduced to EFT in 2007 when I was living in constant pain and depression. I will never forget the first time I tried it with my therapist. I had so much anxiety that day and the tears were flowing and within minutes of tapping I was literally laughing. The pain was diminishing and the anxiety was gone!
